Hopefully our college will better with the annual fest from the next year.

A visit to Goonj
Goonj!!! This is a five letter word, which is both inspirational, and scary at the same time.. Actually it is the annual fest of my college.. This year it was scheduled to happen from 19-21 Feb. On the first day, i didn't visit the fest coz of the previous experiences i had about the fest. But then i thought that it is my last year in the college and i should atleast go have fun with my friends.. So, on the second day, i decided to pay a formal visit to the fest. I reached there at about 4 pm. My friends were already present there. We visited some stalls out there, viz. tarot reader, kite flying, etc., and then got fed up. Then for two hours, we played dumb-shed(i think the spellings are incorrect) arts, and then again got bored and went to sukhna lake. The main event for the day was Rock Show at the night. But it was not as good as expected. So we decided to skip it, and reached home.

It wasn't that bad sameer..i actually enjoyd it..i mean v didnt do netng fr goonj, so v dnt evn hav the right 2 comment abt hw bad it was..a lot of ppl put in hard wrk fr these events yr..
ReplyDeleteThe brighter side of things..:)..the mitra stall(by shikha,akansha,rekha) rockd..! then the fashion show nd dances wer awsum..! then the dj nite too was fun..I went there all the three days nd tho thr wer tyms it got a lil boring, frnds the saath mein, so v njoyd..:)
agree with ankita that we have no right to complain but i also feel that we cringe about something only when we feel strongly about it... so we care abt goonj & want it to be the best. what's never lacking is the enthu & work put in by the people...what's surely lacking is a bit of overall management & coordination. Just add that to the mix & we can do wonders !!
ReplyDeletewell..first of all i thank you guys for responding to my post.. i really appreciate it.. secondly, i would like to apologise about totally criticizing the event, even though i had a lot of fun.. But actually most of the fun came into day 3 and i wrote it on day 2, so i missed that part (sorry gunpreet).. Having said that, i would like to thank both of you for your wonderful suggestions about the fest.. And yes guys.. i too had a lot of fun..
